Rebekah and Addison

Spending the afternoon with these two adorable little girls and their Mommy was so much fun. We giggled, picked flowers, and captured some sweet little smiles. I can not believe how fast the time goes and how quickly our little ones change. Thank you Korene, Rebekah and Addison for such a fun day! I miss you already!

Baby Madeline

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing sweet baby Madeline recently. Good friends Rodney and Tanya welcomed Madeline to the world about 2 weeks prior to our visit. This little girl is so incredibly sweet... she was wide awake, and very alert almost the entire time we were there, but couldn't resist a quick nap in daddy's arms. Rodney and Tanya, thank you for the opportunity to capture these precious images of your sweet baby girl. She's adorable!

Bill

While in Windsor, NS we experienced Hurricane Bill. Now Bill, was not unlike a typical Gold River rainstorm, except for the winds that accompanied him... and it was windy! The weather network had predicted that Bill would hit much harder than he did, but we were thankful to be a little more prepared, than not enough. So, while Bill spent his time dousing us with rain and blowing branches off of trees, we spent our time in the house doing a photo shoot with each of the girls. I had so much fun with this and enjoyed looking for the best light possible (given that Bill had taken our electricity away...) We had such a great time and I was thrilled to be able to create some images with some very beautiful girls.

MacPherson Family

I spent the last weekend of the summer photographing some wonderful people while in Nova Scotia. The MacPherson family and I spent one afternoon together, looking for old buildings, laughing and capturing some great memories. This family is filled with so much love, they are so easy to photograph, and it is an absolute pleasure being with them. I had so much fun... seriously, I love this family. Bruce and Erin, thank you for a great day and I can't wait to see you all again!

Protecting our town...

Now that the forest fire is under control, I wanted to share some images that I took one afternoon. The boys and I saw a helicopter heading towards the hangar for fuel, so we thought we would go and take a look. We were thrilled when the giant S61 also arrived. It is like a giant school bus in the sky! The kids were so excited to be able to go in it while it fueled up and take a look around. I was so excited to be able to capture some photographs of the amazing machines that were working so hard to protect our little village. Enjoy!

Ezgi and Katherine

This afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing Ezgi and Katherine. When I arrived to pick them up, I was blown away by how beautiful they both were. Absolutely stunning! We chose Peppercorn as our first spot to shoot, then continued on to the 'tot lot.' As a mom with 3 little boys, one would think I would know where all of the great places to play in Gold River were... let's just say I was pleasantly suprised. I will definitely be back with the boys (and my camera!)

We finished our aftenoon shoot at the lookout. After a very busy week - this was a great way to spend an afternoon. I had so much fun with Ezgi and Katherine and can't wait to show them all of their images. Thanks so much girls... I had a wonderful time!

Published!

A very exciting day for me...

I have officially had my first images published! Yay!

This weekend a good friend was in the Cowichan Valley, and just happened to be looking at the 2009 Travel Planner. She called today to let me know that she had seen some of my work over the weekend and that she had a copy of the publication for me. I was so incredibly excited and thankful.

A New Day!

So here it is, finally! My first blog post ever! I have been meaning to get a blog for some time now, but always found a reason not to. I guess the 'techie' in me (really, there isn't one) was holding back... but not anymore. Blogging world, here I come!
